reivew of replacement trigger

I would like to say that I tried it and was fully pleased but it did not happen. Not your fault but rather mine. I removed my Remington 700 trigger installed the front roll pin picked up the rear roll pin to install it and dropped it on the work bench. When I picked it up I did not notice that the beveled end was not the end I tried to get into the trigger. Of course I used to much effort to pass it through the trigger assembly and therefore cause some damage to my new trigger. I'm surprised you did not hear me screaming and crying at that mistake. I took it out and replaced the Remington trigger and that is what I was shooting this morning - still with tears in my eyes. I will be contacting you again to place another order, just need to gather funds again. Thanks for doing you job, just wish I would have done mine.

nice upgrade

For the money, this is a great upgrade over the factory Rem 700 trigger. The pull weight is easily adjustable, and I like that I can now feel when I'm at the wall with this 2-stage design. My only complaint is there is still a little creep after hitting the wall before it breaks. In other words, the phrase "breaks like glass" does not apply to this trigger, unfortunately. But for my budget rifle build, it is a great improvement over stock and at a much lower price than other triggers on the market.

What Is Trigger Pull weight?

Pull weight is the amount of pressure, in ounces or pounds, required to fire the trigger. Or in other words, how hard you have to squeeze the trigger to shoot your rifle. Timney Trigger experts at our Phoenix, Arizona plant hand-test every trigger in its intended action and then set the pull weight at our factory standard, 3 lbs.

If you prefer a different pull weight you simply select it from the drop down above and your Timney Trigger will be customized to your preference.
The #1 reason to replace your factory trigger with a Timney is accuracy. A lighter, crisper, more consistent trigger pull will make you more accurate with your firearm.

Below is a guide for pull weight selection:

2-2.5 pounds
Light trigger pull weights are great for people shooting lighter weight rifles as they can help keep you on target during the shot. Also common weights for target shooting from a bench.

3-3.5 pounds
By far the most common trigger pull weights -this is great for virtually all applications including target shooting, hunting and 3-gun competitions.

4.0 pounds+
Heavy trigger pull weights are good for cold weather hunting or applications where you may be shooting with gloves on.
