Timney is the market leader for Savage rifle replacement triggers

A true drop in trigger

Factory calibrated ready to shoot or fully adjustable for Sear Engagement (Creep) and Pull Weight

  • Trigger allows you to become more accurate with your rifle
  • No gunsmith needed, easy to install
  • Ready for the range right out of the box or adjustable for custom feel

What Is Trigger Pull weight?

Pull weight is the amount of force, in ounces or pounds, required to fire the trigger. Or in other words, how hard you have to squeeze the trigger to shoot your rifle. Timney Trigger experts at our Phoenix, Arizona plant hand-test every trigger in its intended action and then set the pull weight at our factory standard, 3 lbs.

If you prefer a different pull weight you simply select it from the drop down above and your Timney Trigger will be customized to your preference.
The #1 reason to replace your factory trigger with a Timney is accuracy. A lighter, crisper, more consistent trigger pull will make you more accurate with your firearm.

Below is a guide for pull weight selection:

2-2.5 pounds
Light trigger pull weights are great for people shooting lighter weight rifles as they can help keep you on target during the shot. Also common weights for target shooting from a bench.

3-3.5 pounds
By far the most common trigger pull weights -this is great for virtually all applications including target shooting, hunting and 3-gun competitions.

4.0 pounds+
Heavy trigger pull weights are good for cold weather hunting or applications where you may be shooting with gloves on.

THIS TRIGGER WORKS WITH THESE RIFLES:

    Accutrigger replacement

Truly a simple to install "drop in". My 1st attempt at a trigger upgrade. Watched 1 youtube video for hints and never looked back. Really simple operation. The video maker did caution on the 1/2 moon clip popping away. My simple solution use a rare earth magnet on the trigger housing, If the clip slips, the magnet captures it. No need to crawl around on the garage floor looking for the clip. Simple adjustment instructions. Total install & adjustment time

Installation was easy getting it set took a little longer I shoot a FTR rifle had to take the stock on and off three times. Safety still works very crisp snap and the trigger is more straight

Overall installation was a snap..easy" (adjustments ,was a more tedious job). I had to level grind my sear from factory was cut wrong.. After the sear grind it was a more consistent break on the trigger. While the instructions to adjust are a litte unclear for a novice...just looking at how the trigger adjustment screws work it's a given..4oz trigger. Way to sketchy..6oz..damn good.

Installing the new trigger assembly is a snap. However, getting the sear adjustment and trigger weight to be precisely tuned is somewhat time consuming. Once you get things set the trigger is gorgeous. It just takes longer and is more putsy than the instructions would have you believe.

    Accutrigger/Timney replacement

Posted by Lyle from Idaho on Jul 16th 2018

I trust Timney with my trigger replacements and the Accutrigger replacement is no exception. Easy to install with zero creep and breaks like glass. The Timney name can be trusted for their customer service. Years ago, I was shooting at the old Las Vegas Gun Club and my Timney Trigger broke. The owner of the company at the time lived in Las Vegas and I gave him a call to see if he could help me. He invited me into his home and fixed my trigger right away so I could continue with my competition. That, made me a customer for life. By the way, I don't usually do these reviews, but the customer service and performance of these triggers has been very good to me. Buy with confidence, will not be disappointed!
