AR PCC Two Stage Trigger

Model #

$264.95

The Timney Pistol Caliber Carbine replacement trigger is the latest in the Timney lineage of AR-style, semi-automatic, replacement triggers.  Timney is offering two models, curved and straight shoe options.

The trigger, hammer, and bridge are constructed of heat-treated steel.  The housing is machined 6061, T6 anodized alloy and the trigger is factory calibrated for a pull weight of four pounds with a  two-pound first stage and two-pound second stage for the two-stage model.

The new Timney Pistol Caliber Carbine Trigger is a 100% drop in replacement that features a hardened steel bridge to protect the trigger components from the vigorous bolt blow back characteristics prominent in Pistol Caliber Carbines.

The two stage trigger features a non adjustable trigger pull weight of 2 pounds + 2 pounds.

Drop in installation is simple once the factory trigger is removed, you will reuse the factory Hammer and Trigger pins. Set screws are located in the housing to lock the trigger in place and prevent the pins from walking out of place.

The Timney drop in trigger works with the factory safety as well as many aftermarket replacements, especially the Timney 49r ambidextrous safety available here on the website.

Timney Made SIG's Thing Come Alive

I ordered a curved version, two-stage. I already knew their stuff was excellent (the Mosin/Nagant knows as well); but I didn't expect that they could pull off the 'perfect MPX' trigger like they did. I'd estimate a 2 + 2 take-up and break (just by feel). Reset is crisp and sure and highly repeatable in the field. Install took about 10 minutes (I took my time, because I enjoy working on stuff like this). I added a set of Elftmann 'AR-15 Non-Rotating Anti-walk Trigger and Hammer Pins' (I have these on all my AR-style triggers up to and including the DPMS LR-308). Repeatability at close range firing (50 meters or whatever) went from 'all over the place' to 'that's a big hole on the bullseye'. I've only put 50 or so downrange, so I can't arrest to durability (but Timney has a good rep for honest value, so I'm not concerned).

What Is Trigger Pull weight?

Pull weight is the amount of pressure, in ounces or pounds, required to fire the trigger. Or in other words, how hard you have to squeeze the trigger to shoot your rifle. Timney Trigger experts at our Phoenix, Arizona plant hand-test every trigger in its intended action and then set the pull weight at our factory standard, 3 lbs.

If you prefer a different pull weight you simply select it from the drop down above and your Timney Trigger will be customized to your preference.
The #1 reason to replace your factory trigger with a Timney is accuracy. A lighter, crisper, more consistent trigger pull will make you more accurate with your firearm.

Below is a guide for pull weight selection:

2-2.5 pounds
Light trigger pull weights are great for people shooting lighter weight rifles as they can help keep you on target during the shot. Also common weights for target shooting from a bench.

3-3.5 pounds
By far the most common trigger pull weights -this is great for virtually all applications including target shooting, hunting and 3-gun competitions.

4.0 pounds+
Heavy trigger pull weights are good for cold weather hunting or applications where you may be shooting with gloves on.

This trigger works with these rifles:
