This is just what the Mosin Nagant needed. The original trigger pull was extremely bad. About 9 lbs. and very long travel. The Timney trigger pull is short and crisp. Mine is set a 2.5 lbs. Man, what a difference! I was not sure if I wanted to spend that much money because I wasn't sure how much of a difference it would make. It was well worth every penny! Excellent quality. You do have to modify the stock, mine is a ATI but is is well worth the time and effort. I only wish that I hadn't waited so long to do this, it should have been the first thing I had done! Thanks Timney for such a great product!

Brought my groups way down. Never thought my m38 would ever shoot groups like that, even handloading.Easier hunting with it too. Instead of that hard pull back to the left safety, its just a click.
If you own a mosin nagant, you need one.

The M-N Trigger is a well made finely constructed piece, I installed this on my M44 Carbine with an ATI Stock. A truely valued addition to any M-N. The built in safety is way better than the original bolt safety. Their is a good amount of material that has to removed from the ATI stock to properly inlet, so if your not good at inletting the $40 for Timney to install may be worth it. Thanks.

The trigger assembly is well made. The trigger pull is so nice compared to the military one. The change out is simple enough. BUT the trigger assembly is roughly a rectangle in shape, the m-n s only a large slot cut for the military trigger. Inletting is required for the assembly to fit. I used an ATI plastic and an hour with a dremel tool to inlet the part-I am not good working with fiberglass. The part is in,stock screws torqued at 35 inch pounds to start. Passed many bump test for uncontrolled firing. I have not shot the m-n yet. Just think about it a safety that can be set with gloves on. To the purist this rifle was not a good collector piece. The Timney m-n trigger is a great up grade, but requires inletting by you or a rifle smith.
